Let Go
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 01 April 2010)
The body armour thickens
Against the invasion of life
The pain of diversion no longer works
It’s time

Island Universe
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 01 April 2010)
A word of perception
A touch of emotion
And the one rises out of the depths of isolation
To the greater one, the whole within oneself

Twisted Fate
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 22 March 2010)
These things have to pas
Continually
Grating at the wall of time
Unnecessary and necessary
Folly and flux
And at every turn
A desire
A mix of spontaneity and ideal
Made relative
By an individual’s space in continuum
The life you were born to lead
A singular thread
Sewn into the fabric of lif
Quite a twisted fate

The Freedom To Be Me
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 12 & 14 February 2010)
I cried to know
The suppression of spirit
From those closer and made close
It was tiredness I know
That brought it to the fore
Yet it is always there
I may come to know that love someday
That nurtures me through to being me
… And it’ll be me, a cornerstone

Undulation
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 2 February 2010)
* The knowledge of something, anything.
You can walk in the steps of the devastated and emerge on their behalf
You can need the people who will let you down for a little while
You can bide your time before a fond farewell
And talk to the birds and treat all that is around you well
But there is that pain you must know which is passing
To recognize it as your path etched in time
The place you hold in others often to do with your dreams
And the times you feel every beat of your heart and every breath you take
It’s forever the dawn which you know well
The inner drive which comes to fruition
And in it all the seed re-seeds and learns a little more
And knows of warmth in among the journey
It is then the soul must rest to know its whole
And in the relentless march of that same whole
There is turmoil and strife and positivism
And the distraction of faith and hope and sometime charity
For they are after all often the tools of exploiters
But in the end one must walk alone
Hopefully in one’s path of enlightenment
Toward the steady knowledge of extremes
Among the vastness of reconciliation where often a chill wind blows

Journey Through The Nows
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 27 January 2010)
I knew naught of the life I led
As I stumbled through it
The hearts and minds
Of pain and learning
It’s perfection I sought
Or at least I thought
But in effect it was solace
And acceptance
What I got was to serve the purpose
Of the shifting sands of emotional oblivion
And within a cloud of alcohol, nicotine and sometime marijuana
I came to see my dream
The one I had in comfort once
Where no-one accepted it
Yet like a recovery-Lawson* I did
And freedom somehow grew
Still the memories flood the empty spaces
Assembling the life one led
And a pang of misunderstood regret
Dis-colours the purpose of the journey through the nows

Whole-some
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 26 January 2010)
What brings the life
That never was
But always wanted to be
It’s the choice within
In the now
The past and future too
The child
The adult
The parent
Self-sufficient
Yet integrated
As whole as ‘one’ can be

Kontrivance II
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 24 January 2010)
Twice a ranging cat did say
She never saw her way
Though she felt and sensed a higher plane
Of kontrivance
