Ethereal
(A Poem-Prose written by Martin Eden on 01May2009)

There is that compassion that lives in the heart
The creator and the soul

And the greed that is easy too lives nearby
In the shorter breath

While the nose gives scent
To the life that could be

Take a lift to the top for the thought that is life
And just below the eyes and the ears that take it all in

Then there’s the throat for to regulate breath and consumption
And to give out our meaning

Thereabouts is the neck as a conduit to all but for stress
And the shoulders which bear burden which discipates to touch at the hands

While the lungs give capacity to life weighed down below by the digestion and excretion of stress
Procreation to the fore and waste to the rear

And the back keeps us upright and the legs keep us mobile
And right at the bottom we are pedestrian and grounded to the beginnings of the ethereal
